Dear All-Star Fourth Grade Families,
I would like to warmly welcome you as we begin an exciting new school year at Beacon Tree Elementary. I am very fortunate to be starting my 10th year here at Beacon Tree and to have the opportunity to work with such a supportive educational community. I have high expectations for this school year and know it will be a fantastic fourth grade experience for your child! With this letter, I wanted to give you a chance to get to know me a little better. I began my teaching career in 1999 as a music teacher in Utica Community Schools. After teaching music for 2 years, I became a classroom teacher. I have taught kindergarten, second, third and sixth grades at Jack Harvey, Havel and Beacon Tree Elementary schools. As a child, I attended Utica Community Schools for kindergarten through eighth grade. I went to Crissman Elementary and then I attended Malow Jr. High. I graduated high school from Lutheran High North. I attended Hillsdale College and earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with minors in Math, English & Music. Additionally, I have received a master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Leadership from Oakland University. On the personal side, I have been married to my husband, Joe, for sixteen years. He is the principal of St. Hugo of the Hills K-8 School in Bloomfield Hills. We have three fun-loving children: Abby- 9th grade, Andrew- 7th grade and Matthew – 2nd grade. In my free time, I enjoy attending my children’s activities, reading, playing the piano, and spending time together as a family. I anticipate an excellent start to the 2019-2020 school year and I look forward to seeing you at Open House on Thursday, September, 13th @ 7:00. Sincerely, Mrs. Vincler |
